Williamstown Hotel / Woodside Ampol RTE
« on: May 11, 2024, 04:53:06 PM »
My report for the Williamstown Hotel Woodside Ampol RTE.

I've had some back issues for a few weeks, today was the first ride for a while.

Left home after checking the bike over around 11.30, plenty of time to get to venue as I needed to refuel.

Bike started straight away at home, but once fully fuelled, nothing but clicks.

Pushed her out of the fuel lanes, to enable others to get the reasonably cheap fuel available at the moment.

Side cover off, the connections all tight. Left it a few minutes, tried again - more clicking.

Rang the RAA, was advised that they were an hour away.

While waiting, hunger overcame me, so back into the servo for a Blumberg Bakery pasty, which was nicely hot, good pastry & nice filling.

Patrol turned up, connected the thumper & the bike fired first try.

He stayed around as I refitted the plastics & I got going - back home minutes later.

My shortest ever distance RTE  :rofl

I have a similar one of those thingies after Gra Har showed me his in Tassie.  Used it one on the kwaka.  Hope I never have to use it on the other two bikes because I don't know where their batteries are.
