I know it's a bit late now that Pete has pulled the pin on motorcycling and Michael has bought his CFMoto but another bike that would be okay I reckon, would be the Honda NC750X.
With the engine canted way forward and the fuel tank under the seat making a fairly low centre of gravity it should be an easy bike to manoeuvre at low speeds.

These can be picked up second hand for around seven grand. https://www.bikesales.com.au/bikes/honda/nc750x-abs-nc750xa/

It's just a shame Honda Australia don't bring in the latest model...  :||||

Were high on my shortlist, might've gone that way if the CFMoto didn't come along.

I was keen to have a look at the new Honda GB500 when it's released.   The GB350 is very popular, but would be a bit asthmatic at highway speeds.

I've got that end of the scale covered too, riding the push bike, and sometimes even riding the eBike.

An interesting bike
I'm not sure if it has cruise control or not
Maybe a little lighter and lower seat than the NT1100

Pretty sure no cruise, Leo...
Other than that omission, the latest model (which we don't get :-[) is pretty well kitted out with plenty of options available.

Cruise on the CFMoto works very well, nice smooth highway / freeway ride.

Sad to hear it Pete. I'm still riding my R1200RT and even looked at upgrading to the new 1300 - but hate its looks.
I acknowledge hardworking Australians no matter who they are or where they come from. All those who have contributed to this wonderful country deserve an equal share of gratitude for their contributions. To single any group of individuals out for special homage only denigrates the rest of us.

Thanks and I agree about the looks.   The Beemer never had that smooth and beautiful streamlined look of the ST1300, and I must say that at "NT speeds", the ST was smoother and felt more stable.   However, the Beemer was a great bike for the long interstate trips.
