Event Information:

The Pitstop Cafe on Mt Mee is owned by former motorcycle speedway racer John Alexander and wife Kim, and is managed by motorcycle enthusiast Michelle Sadlier.
The cafe is situated on one of the Brisbane hinterland’s most famous motorcycle roads, the Mount Mee Road which snakes up and over the range.

It is poised on the edge of a cliff looking south across Mt Pleasant Valley to Brisbane and on a clear day you can see all the way to the sand dunes of Moreton and North Stradbroke islands.
Inside there are motorcycle races on the TV and motorcycle and car racing paraphernalia everywhere collected over the years by John.

I will bring things from the OzSTOC shop with me if anyone wants anything

Not long since I got home
Approx 380km with lots of twisties
I met up with Rob on his NT1100 at Zeraffas in Toowoomba
After coffee we headed of at 8.30 we rode out to Hampton then down to Esk where we met up with George on his BMW
We headed to Kilcoy then Woodford then over to D'Aguilar where we turned and headed down to Mt Mee
Arrived at the Pitstop Cafe about 11.00
We were greaed by Shiney Carrol and rest of the crew who have arrived early as usual at our RTE's. After our usual chat we headed inside to find our seats
I had the chicken burger and coffee
With some more chatting about bikes as usual
About 1.30 we decided we had better start heading for home
We headed down through Dayboro to Samford then turned towards Mt Glorious where the twisties really started
The NT1100 eats up the corner's. We headed to Fernvale where we stopped for a col drink
Said goodbye to George with Rob and I headed to Lowood then onto Gatton. Then up the range to Toowoomba
Arriving home about 4.45
Thanks to Shiney and Gadget for organising another great RTE

Shonee, myself, and the Grand-daughters drove up to the Pitstop Cafe at Mt Mee, ascending 480 m from home. The car used 17% of the battery getting there over the 38.4 km trip.

As we entered the balcony the youngest called out to the eldest, "Look at that amazing view!". I had to agree, it was amazing.

We had a great catch-up with everyone, and the girls had fun sitting on Darkwing.

The food was delicious, and too soon, it was time to head home.

The drive down the mountain started at 61%, and by the time we descended to Dayboro, we were up to 62%. This meant the 40.6 km trip home only used 5%, energy I got paid to put into the car yesterday.

Carrol and I had a great day out and enjoyed catching up with everyone.

We had a great ride and even managed to get a wave from each of the bike cops we past on the way (even the undercover one with a speed camera)

We arrived early and chilled out until everyone arrived.

   

We had a great chat about the bikes and then headed in for lunch.

We enjoyed the view and had a great lunch. The burgers and thickshakes were awesome, as always.

            

After lunch, we all chatted for a while before heading off.

Thank you to everyone who was able to make it, and we hope to see you again at another RTE soon
