OzSTOC Camping - VIC
« on: April 25, 2025, 06:50:58 PM »
Was chatting with one of our OzSTOC colleagues and floated the idea of a small (may be larger than small) group of OzSTOC members (and may be a some other likewise interested friends) getting together of a few days camping.  That's as far as we got with any details, however after some further thought, I've developed a few ideas, such as:
  • Days - mid-week, perhaps weekend.
  • Location - caravan park within a couple hours driving.
  • Format - caravan, mobile home, camper, tent, swag, hammock - whatever floats your boat, if a venue has cabins, perhaps all the better for those that don't have or aren't interested in any of the fore mentioned.

Topic heading includes VIC, but of course others from further afield would not be excluded.

At this stage I'm looking for responses from those who would be interested in (and perhaps help developing this idea further) an OzSTOC camping / cabining (is that a word?) event.

Motorcycling, the best time you can have with your pants on.
eBiking, the second best time you can have with your pants on
Afterlife, up there for the climate, down there for the company.
If I'd known I was gunna live this long, I woulda looked after myself better

I'm suspecting a long weekend would be better for you?

We'll try for a central VIC location.

Might try one closer to (or even in) SA or NSW to see if it appeals to any of the SA or NSW members.
