Bar Risers
« on: May 28, 2025, 01:50:04 PM »

Im Looking for a set of Bar Risers for my 2011 ST1300. Im coming up blank on all the sales sites ebay / amazon etc.. Mine has the individual bars, not the generic round bar type.
Happy to go second hand if in good nick. Any ideas friends? Any help / direction happily accepted.
Cheers'

I thought the Police model came with bar risers fitted as standard...  :think1

You are correct :thumbs
However, the Police riser only gives a 1” rise and I'm guessing Rusty is looking for more.

The riser I had on my ST was the HeliBars Riser and I thought it was brilliant :thumbsup (A new one isn't cheep though).    https://www.helibars.com/products/helibars-tour-performance-handlebar-riser-for-honda-st1300.html

To see what it looks like, have a gander through the install I did on my first ST1300 in the following link:

.... As the story goes, This one was a evaluation bike for vicpol back in the day and returned to Honda Australia ...

As an evaluaution bike, it may have been stock and deemed unsuitable, could be one of the reasons it was returned to Honda.

There's some MCL bar risers here: https://www.ebay.com/itm/305829199594
They look a bit grotty though...

Still not cheap at around the $370 AUD including postage...

A word of caution on bar risers. They can induce lower back pain.
I had that problem on my ST11 after fitting 25mm risers and my friend, the same issue after fitting 25mm risers on a ST13.
The other issue was the vagueness it caused in the front end / turn in.

My 2 cents.

I have bar risers on my ST1300 which, thinking about it, I probably don't really need as, due to my back injury I actually like to be leaning forward.
Sitting bolt upright kills my back...  :thumbs

I'm the opposite, i need to be more upright for my crook back, my MT800 i had before this bike killed my back before i put risers on it and pins and needles in my wrists, I guess its all up to personal preference, what works for one may not work for everyone. I will continue to fiddle with this bike till I'm comfortable with it!
Thanks for the input Phil..
