Most Online Ever
« on: October 09, 2025, 11:25:04 PM »
Did anyone else notice that we had the most people online ever just the other day?

That screams "bots"!  There probably aren't that many ST Owners in Oz.
For the modern man who lives in the city, riding a bike might be one of the only ways to escape the humdrum monotony. To take off and ride. To be both at one with nature and one with the bike. To feel masculine. Adam Piggott

Yes
It does seem a bit odd I used to post similar under a different Subject name but can't find it
I know the ST1100 & ST1300 are a popular bike but that many people online is outrageous probably just a glitch in the system
But at the end of the day does it really matter
But it looks good  :hatwave

We have a bit less than 1800 members, most of whom have never been on since they registered.
We have been the target of a lot of fake join attempts, so it could be hijack attempts..

We have a bit less than 1800 members .....

And I'm guessing that less than 50 of them are active, ie. regularly posting.

Yes, definitely has to be bots... I wouldn't have bothered posting it up except it just happened to be a record...

Speaking of members, it would be interesting if we could cull all those that haven't been online in the last 12 months or so....
Only downside (upside?) would be Leo not having to wish so many "members" happy birthday!  :whistle

I do look at the dates when they joined and last posted
Many have not been on line for over 10 years

A quick check shows from vietnam/ South america. I would definitely suspect probing operations, but they arent getting far.

Now thats getting ridiculous, dont they have anything better to do??

It would take hours to download the info, put it into a spread sheet and analyze everything to create blocking rules. They are all visitors (bots) who spend seconds on every page. Its almost heading to a denial of service attack..

At least as far as I can work out, they havent broken into the system..

I guess it peaked at 181163, falling short of the kwaka's odometer.  :rofl
