Just bought a 2004 from a mate at work, non runner, just wanted it gone. His price I couldn’t refuse!
So, fuel filter and pump and lower tank all gummed up with old fuel. Sat for three years.
New kit from rpm, started straight up, running beautifully. 80k on it.
Bought to ride around oz in July.
Won’t lie, as a long time guzzi rider, and Harley rider, I was prepared to hate it.
But it’s fantastic! Already did the seat levelling mod, so good!!
No buffeting, smooth, comfy, handles beautifully, couldn’t be happier. It’s even relatively easy to work on.
Anyway, that’s that. Oh, yeah, my mate bought an 1100 to do the same trip and loves it, but he’s always been a Honda bloke.
