Should we pull the pin?
« on: March 24, 2026, 03:54:33 PM »
With fuel prices set to go higher and with the threat of fuel rationing looming, is it time to pull the pin on our RTEs for the foreseeable future??

I've held off posting up April's RTE hoping to get an idea as to whether it going to be a waste of time or not...

What do you all think?  :popcorn

I say keep posting them and if people don't mind the cost of fuel they can go :runyay

If fuel rationing becomes a thing we can re-evaluate  :think1

In the light of the shyte show that we are all experiencing right now, it's probably a wonderful break from reality for friend to catch up with friends over lunch. It might make the difference to people's week on the positive side of things.
Post it up and check the attendance. Let that be the guide.
At least getting the bike or is more economical than many cars anyways.

Like all RTEs, we go if we can. Life gets in the middle of everything we do.
No questions asked.
No expectations.
If it works, it works.
If it doesn't, then next time.

Take care.  :Like:

There is the option of purchasing Honda CB125e. You'd get between 117 and 150mpg. Having a pillion might be a problem 🙄😁

Might be a problem with just some of our members.

If an RTE is within 30km of home, I could risk at 60km return trip on the eBike.

I had a little Kymco 125 motor scooter some years back and have regretted selling it ever since.  :||||
