Hi all,
Just to put two bobs worth in, can I ask what the thinking is in going to another caravan park as a destination?
The only reason i ask is that while Blackheath was an overwhelming success, it could have easily been a disaster if it rained the whole weekend and we all ended up stuck in our seperate cabins for teh weekend and needed wet weather gear to walk to the pub and back each night.
This van park at Inverell is 3k out of town, so I'm only assuming it means we have to ride into town for meals etc?
I'm happy to go with whatever the masses want to do, but I'd like to also suggest the Australian Hotel at Inverell as an alternative as its in the centre of town and has a great meals area and beer garden.
The pub has heaps of rooms with singles starting at $30 per night and double rooms are only $50 per night. So it's a cheap option also.
We have stayed there before with friends and it's a clean well run pub and while the amenities are shared, they were really clean. Put it this way, Marissa was happy to have stay there and we have booked the place again for our other trip to Inverell for the long weekend at the end of September.
As I say, we're happy to go with whatever the masses decide. I only want to put the idea out there in case we hit bad weather.
