I'll be cracking on down with Diesel. Looks like you, Diesel and I wil be going the via the Gateway.

How about we meet up at the roundabout on the Gateway at Boondall Entertainment centre at say 6:45am and then cruise on down with Diesel.

I take it Diesel doesn't want to stop so soon after starting. :)

This is a great idea men - and has been done before. I'll call you Gadget when I am 5 or 10 mins away, and you guys just join in as I pass. I will be meeting up with the Toowoomba crew at Warwick for brekky between 9.15am and 9.30am.

My guess is that we will ride out from Warwick just prior to 10.30am for Inverell.

HarieG and Tipsy - it'll be great to have you guys along as well. I'll also call you Tipsy when I pick up Gadget and HarieG to give you a few mins heads up.

Anyone else is welcome to join in from any of these spots as well.

All good " H " - might be a few mins past 6.30 - but if you are there by then, it won't be a long wait.

Also will be having Whizz along for the ride to Warwick - he will join up further south, so if Shiney & Carroll want in for brekky at Warwick - pls join us at one of the pick-up points.

For anyone who can't make the whole run to Inverell, but wants to go for a bit of a ride, a mate on a VT-400 and I will be tagging along with Diesel and his entourage from Yamanto down to Warwick, where we intend to feed our faces at Macca's, then return to Ipswich via Gatton whilst the rest of the lucky blighters head south.

If anyone wants to join us you are more than welcome, the intended route is;

Starting at the Oz Fuel filling station on the top of the hill on the Cunningham Highway just outside Yamanto where we expect Diesel to roll past at about 07:30, so he says. Shiney and Carol are going to be joining in there I do believe, but the more the merrier!.

And as a cautionary note for anyone going down the Cunningham to Warwick, just past the big left-hand bend, between the Willowbank turn-off and the Shell garage a few k's down the road, the local plods

LOVE to set-up their revenue raisers...it's an 80 zone but most people think it's 100...BE AWARE they LOVE Saturdays!

Hmmmm doing a bit of ahhhh research here????????
Can those doing the Kay's take note of when they start and when they finish. Not how long their actually riding but of how long it took them to do the trip, to get from point A to point B
Just wondering if all the times I've done the Kays my average of around 85kph all up for the hours on the road which includes my stops is around the same as others.
Average around the 12hrs+ for a 1000 kays

That's why I posted it. I know what I average and have done since the early seventies. But I ride a lot, but no where near as long as you, but as most know I still ride near 6 out of seven and have done so for close on 40 years now

Around 7 am will be fine , the car park to the golf club will likely be closed at that time so will meet you out the front. Its probably a good idea if we exchange mobile numbers in case anything unforseen happens.
