I just bought a Shoei XR1100 recommended on this Forum and find the noise attenuation to be excellent.  Got it through Mick's Bike Tyres for $629.

The page referenced says
"Updates include a reduction of wind noise, a wider and taller field of vision"
I would definitely not be wanting a taller field of vision.  One aspect of the XR1100 that is different to my HJC is I get more sunlight coming in the top of the visor, which is most annoying before 10:00AM and after 3:00PM.  I've put a band of white electrical tape across the top of the visor to control it.  Having said that, this flash new one has a shade built into it.
But how annoying is the music that plays while you view that webpage!?

Thanks.  Old feller here- didn't know about that feature.
Will be using it a lot, I can tell!
