Hi Stinky Peter, I shall be arriving at Middleton Caravan Park on the 11th March in the afternoon.
Going to ride the Cockle Train on Wednesday and do the Boat Cruise on the Thursday. Apart from that if I can help in anyway let me know.

OMG Tipsy, the GREAT OCEAN ROAD & Mt Gambier, I fell in love with those 2 places when I drove that on my car learners back in Sep 93.

BTW, I'm looking at going as well, but the venue's accomodation is all booked out in Adelaide, so if anyone has a spare double bed (Kym & I) or even some floor space (Grumpy Kym). I'll be asking lots of questions to those who go to the Jan 19 ride about this trip and what to take and how to fit it etc.

If anyone is looking for a ride buddy or has room in their group from BNE, I'd be happy to join. Young One, not sure if I'll go down as early as you though.

You can post to see if anyone has a spare bed in their cabin, or if you are a camper, Jane and Graeme at the park have held some camping sites for us, which are adjacent to the cabins. For overflow accomodation, you can find nearby local B&Bs which you could share, through the following local agent. I've been down and had a chat to Kerry, who knows about our Rally and is very happy to assist.

Tipsy, you are going to wear out the centre of you tyres on all them straight roads. Can I possibly suggest to you (and anybody else coming that way) that you go Warwick to Stanthorpe, Texas, Yetman, Warialda, Bingara, then across to Narrabri. This will keep you away from the trucks until you get to Narrabri.

I would also suggest as I did with Diesel that this a little more scenic route through SA http://goo.gl/maps/OfjBx

It also includes the loop around the Blue Lake at Mount Gambier and up to the lookout as well. I've put a slightly shorter route to avoid Murray Bridge but it gives you a ferry crossing on the Murray River at Wellington instead.

And on the Victorian side of the border the road crosses the Glenelg River at Nelson

Looks like there will be a few records broken so i also finally got around to ordering my ozStoc shirt. Put me down as an attendee as i want to increase the numbers from Victoria

Dont know which way i will be going yet but i will be there.
