Hi Cerebral knieval, I am leaving on the 9th with two overnight stops and could return on the 18th if you wanted someone to travel with and share motel costs.

Hi young one , i do shift work tuesday to sunday so i will probably head off with streak & shiney on monday the 11th.
More than happy to head back with you monday the 18th, although i warn you now that after a long day/a few cold ones i sound like 2 chainsaws fighting so......pack some ear plugs

If your chasing a bed, post and ask if anyone has a spare bunk, and if you have a room and a spare bunk post it up!

There is plenty of camping space available as well, it will be the perfect time of year for it :)

CAN'T GET A BED AT THE CARAVAN PARK?
You can post to see if anyone has a spare bed in their cabin, or if you are a camper, Jane and Graeme at the park have held some camping sites for us, which are adjacent to the cabins. For overflow accomodation, you can find nearby local B&Bs which you could share, through the following local agent. Stinky Pete has been down and had a chat to Kerry, who knows about our Rally and is very happy to assist.

Leave approved Tonight

Good to go from monday the 11th & don't have to be back @ work until tuesday the 26th.
Happy to head off with RobJob, YoungOne,Tipsy,Streak.Shiney etc ...more the merrier i say
Don't know if i will be camping yet(getting too fat & old for that caper)more than happy to stay at pubs etc there & back.
May well book a local B&B ( I need's my ugly sleep )
Open to any & all suggestions regarding route, itinerary etc

How late a notice is needed?.. Work is so uncertain for me at the moment I really wouldn't know till almost the last week or so, and then there's the issue of getting a bed at the last moment.....

Just need to find out if Mr Newman is going to sack me or let me back to work. So far 5 months off on pay so far since the announcement of axing while a review is undertaken.

What do you think, could it be done? I don't mind taking a week to get there just the issue of work as the review is supposed to be finished on the 27th Feb, and my letter says finish up in March..

So work and an available Bed..... ??????

I think that it can be done

as for notice, you can come last minute no problem, beds wise, I am sure we can work something out, someone will have a spare bunk

We have been chatting with park re: accommodation for a couple for last month without success......anyone interested in sharing a holiday house close to the venue ??? Seams a waste to rent a place that sleeps 6 just for us.......we will be there for the Friday & Saturday night.

Any takers ??? Or has some one rented a place that they wish to share ??

Hi Sab - reckon there'll be a few STs breezing through Cobar-BH around that time - keep an eye out.

And please.... to EVERYONE going this way...

It is one of the 5 WORST WILDLIFE incident stretches in Oz - so be very flamin vigilant - coz you're usually a loooong way from home out there.

I'll only be daylight riding, I've been through Cobar a couple of times before once at night so I know the amount of roos.

I'm currently trying to work out my stops and the expected time and date arriving at Cobar. It would be great to connect up with some STs.

Also looking at equipping the bike with the necessaries, compressor, puncture repair, wet weather gear and so on in preparation.
