carby balance

I would like to do a balance of the carbies,  anybody know of where or who please?

Hmmm balacing the carbies eh.
Mate mine have bolts that hold em in the right place and don't need to keep their balance. Can supply pictures if you wish

ok How about a carburetor synchronisation

Have heard of synchronised swimming and synchronised stunt driving, but never heard of sychronised carbies, I'd love to see that !!

The ST service manual doesn't cover it however the common manual does, both can be downloaded online. It's relatively easy to do, the worst part is pulling the plastic off to get to the carbs. Just make sure that you have the bike at normal temperature and wind the revs up a bit to get stable readings.  I've done it a couple times. God luck and have fun.

Thanks Craig, was hoping that someone down in Brisvegas might have had the equipment to do it.  Looks as though I may need to purchase the gear, hopefully not too expensive.

That article outlines the procedure quite well. There must be someone with some guages (or can you rent them?), as I have the 4 stick ones and the SK flow meter.  If you can find an SK flowmeter the procedure is the same, except no need to tap into the vacuum hoses. You remove the airbox lid and take airflow reading one at a time. Use Carb 4 as the base flow, and adjust the others to it. The trumpet on the left feeds the carb on the right.
