Fuel Cap Sticking
« on: September 09, 2012, 08:31:08 PM »
Ok all you problem solvers....

When my ST is warmed up I can't get the fuel cap open. Its sticking towards the front of the bike. I've already bent up one key trying to get it open on a ride to refuel.

Any suggestions on how to fix this...   :||||

Cheers

1300 or 1100.

The 1100 fuel door shouldnt be difficult to open, and th cap is key free. 1300 I dont know about.

1300 hinges at the rear of the cap. Cap is sticking at the front of the cap.

Have a look at this http://www.st-owners.com/forums/showthread.php?117136-ST1300-Sticking-Fuel-Cap
Seems to be the problem. Can't say I remember this as anything but an uncommon thing, so I had to do a search.

And that's the reason OzSTOC is the best...........

Thanks Saaz, Guess what I'm doing tomorrow, how easy was that.

Thanks again Saaz, your a life saver, and not the round kind with a hole in the middle either....
