ST1300 Paniers
« on: September 22, 2012, 09:05:59 PM »
Met a bloke at the Show and Shine this morning who was telling us that he had an ST for a few weeks some years ago but sold it because he had a "Love-Hate relationship" with it, wasn't quite sure what he meant by that, but he did say that he has a brand-new, unused pair of Paniers for a 1300 with Pan European badges on them. He gave me his card so if anyone wants to contact him please IM me for his contact details.

I have no idea of what he wants for them nor am I getting anything out of this except for a sense doing something to help both him and the person who might buy them from him.

Is there an ST1300 running around out there somewhere without panniers?

I wounded if their hard panniers or inserts?

Seems strange?

Strange alright, because the bike comes standard with panniers, so if you sold it, the panniers would go with it.  Not so the top box which is an optional extra (at around $1000).

Then there's the matter of having a key to match the locks...
For the modern man who lives in the city, riding a bike might be one of the only ways to escape the humdrum monotony. To take off and ride. To be both at one with nature and one with the bike. To feel masculine. Adam Piggott

From what I can remember of what the guy was saying when he got the bike there was some problem with the panniers and Honda offered him a replacement pair, they ordered them but he got rid of the bike before they arrived but kept the panniers... I think!

and they are full, hard panniers
