« on: September 30, 2012, 06:03:22 PM »
So I'm at a Gig today having a dance with a lady I have known for many years. She has just retired from a position in Federal Govt at pretty well the top of the heap in what she does.
So she tells me some stuff and guess what??????? we the male humans of Australia owe her heaps.

You see, she is the chick that had the Federal Tax removed from Contraceptive products in Australia.
Yeap she's the one that opened ahhhhhhhh :think1 made it easier to open  :think1 ladies legs in Australia, Soooooooooooooooooooooooooooo on behalf of every male in this country of ours I thanked her :thumbsup :runyay

I wonder if she was on the committee that recommended what medical items should be GST free?  I was working on implementing the GST at that time in the same area, but I was working on all the fuel and alcohol excise arrangements so did not meet here that much.

I also worked on wholesale sales tax that the GST replaced, but can't recall the history of that one. Noone ever wrote in to argue to tax those things so no need to justify the exemption.
