I recently needed to have my ST1100 seat re-shaped after a trimmer who told me he had done many bike seats and knew how to fix them so they were more comfy ruined my seat. He simply added more foam and made me higher. I was so peed off about it I didn't want to return to him and he has since gone out of business.
I kept enquiring locally and found Terry Clifton, a motor trimmer and he reshaped my seat, put in a layer of foam to smooth it all out and then recovered with non-slip material on top and red stitching. I, now can ride for 2 hours easily and without pain, it's the best improvement I've made to my bike.
Terry is a member of the Ulysses Club and the Blue Knights. He has previously owned a ST1100 and has owned about 3 ST1300's, his current one is a 2003 model.
He has re-shaped and re-covered the seat on his ST1300 and his last major ride was from West Wyalong to Harrington, where he lives without a lengthy stop.
Terry does seat mods for his local Ulysses Branch and will adjust seats for members of Ozstoc. Seats would simply be posted to him.
He was going to come to Dorrigo last weekend but was unwell.
It's a great benefit to have a trimmer who is also a motorcyclist and I recommend him without hesitation.
