Heather (wildfireangel) posted this on Grahams facebook page earlier today and I've copied it over to here.

To Graham and Teela,
We wish you all the best from Heather and Alan

A fairytale has just begun in the most perfect way,
Down on one knee a ring was given, "YES" did the lady say,
But this is not a dream you're in, this is love that's true,
Now all await with eagerness the day you'll say "I do!"

We wish you all the best for your life together!

I looked in our local paper this morning, and look what I found, well I think the world knows!

Teela had a fresh batch of happy tears this morning so my job is well and truly done.....

For those who know businessman Graham Strang, it didn't come as too much of a surprise when he dropped on bended knee, in front of a crowded room and proposed to his girlfriend.

Mr Strang performed the very public proposal at the Geiger Civil and Electrical business function on Saturday night.

The function attracted more than 200 people to the Empire Theatre Church and was a celebration of the local company's fifth successful year in business.

The Hip Pocket Workwear owner said he had been considering the proposal for few weeks.

"But I didn't decide do at the Geiger function until mid-week," Mr Strang said.

Mr Strang's now fiancée Teela Stinton undertook the body art for performers at the function.

And since they were surrounded by friends and family, Mr Strang figured the function was a good opportunity to pop the question.

"I'm the kind of guy that doesn't like the run of the mill," he said.

"I like to do things a little bit different."

Mr Strang described the moment as "brilliant".

"I was absolutely terrified while it was happening," Mr Strang said.

"I had the whole thing practised and to thank the Geigers for letting me steal their thunder.

"But I fumbled my words, said thank you and eventually did my thing."

The proposal must have been good to the ears of Ms Stinton who said yes.

The couple hope to marry next year over the long weekend in October.

This one's for Streak - Congratz!  :hatwave :thumbs  :eek

 Computer Gender???
  :CB--

A language teacher was explaining to her class that in French, nouns unlike their English counterparts, are grammatically designated as masculine or feminine.

"House" in French, is feminine -"la maison," "Pencil" in French, is masculine "le crayon."

One puzzled student asked, "What gender is a computer?" The teacher thought it would be a good exercise to have the students decide what they thought the gender should be.

So she split the class into two groups appropriately enough, by gender and asked them to decide whether "computer" should be a masculine or a feminine noun.

Both groups were required to give four reasons for their recommendation.

The boy's group decided that computer should definitely be of the feminine gender ("la computer"), because

1.No one but their creator understands their internal logic
2.The native language they use to communicate with other computers is incomprehensible to everyone else
3.Even the smallest mistakes are stored in long term memory for possible later review
4.As soon as you make a commitment to one, you constantly find yourself spending more money on accessories for it.

The women's group, however, concluded that computers should be masculine "le computer") because:

1.In order to do anything with them, you have to turn them on.
2.They have a lot of data but still can't think for themselves.
3.They are supposed to help you solve problems, but half the time they ARE the problem.
4.As soon as you commit to one, you realize that if you had waited a little longer you could have gotten a better model
