That's the first time I've seen the "weave" attributed to a mechanical component.  Previous articles have talked about the panniers and weight distribution.
If I correctly understand the article, there should be no weave after the first model, because they test and rectify every single bike. 
How that works if a bike is stripped down for an overhaul is anyone's guess.  I suppose the swing-arm is rarely removed.
