A ST1300 on a dirt road with cows, a cave, and bats!
« on: January 16, 2013, 08:29:11 AM »
Took this little vid on my way past Mt Perry in the Northern Burnett Shire of Qld. Ended up at the Bucca Hotel (not Nambucca) for the night and had a great time there with the owners and some locals.        :thumbsup

Awesome roads to get to there as well.

This vid features the Boolboonda Rail Tunnel - longest unsupported tunnel in Qld.

ST1300 in a cave.

Cheers, Diesel

Great vid Diesel, that road looks smoother than the main roads in Qld.  8) :thumb

Note to self don't come back as a bat in your next life and live near Diesel.

Luckily the bats didn't get their wings melted with all that candle power.

Cheers. I have a quick vid to publish of the fantastic road leading in to this place - it would seem, a motorcyclist's "Road to Mandalay"

Thanks for sharing a great video, and you certainly seem to have got a handle on the Coutour Roam now.    Where was it mounted for that sequence, which was also a good illustration of the penetration of your new light setup.

Great sequence Diesel.  I've snatched a copy for my collection.  I know where the tunnel is, just got to get there.  Maybe on the way to Biloela?
For the modern man who lives in the city, riding a bike might be one of the only ways to escape the humdrum monotony. To take off and ride. To be both at one with nature and one with the bike. To feel masculine. Adam Piggott

Thanks Gents. I was planning a similar route through there at that time and offer up a posse possie (read possie pozzy) to anyone interested. We'll see as the date gets closer.

Thanks for the nice remarks.

Cheers, Diesel

I enjoy the tunnel a bit as it is only an hour from Bundaberg and one of our interesting bits of rides in this area. We are planning a ride to Mt Perry next month.

Google is a bit vague on the tunnel location but I'm sure Heather would not like to get that close to bats.........lol
