Wendy's Mum
« on: February 18, 2013, 11:22:24 PM »
Thank you to all of you who sent your prayers and positive thoughts. I'm pleased to report that mum has woken from her coma. She's still very unwell, still on the ventilator and blood filter, Sewell as lots of drugs to keep her stable, but things are finally headed in the right direction.  We're in for the long haul, but unless things change, I should be ok to make the rally. I'll probably REALLY need the break by then

Take note folks of Wendy's excellent planning skills.

Wendy had a plan for attending the OzSTOC meet in SA, circumstances changed so the plan was altered to suit. Again, things moved and again the plan has been modified..

Thanks all, I just found out mum's going back to surgery this afternoon to have her knee flushed again we're hoping she doesn't take as long to wake up this time. Fingers crossed!

Glad to join forces in this effort.  Great that you're around to support your Mum Wendy.

Things aren't looking good. Mum's in a critical condition, still stable, but needing more support to keep her stable. We've basically been told to prepare for the worst. There's still a slight chance she may turn the corner and beat this, but it's unlikely. We're still praying and hoping for a good outcome.  If anyone is strong enough to beat this, it's my mum!!!

Hi Wendy, I know it's an old cliche, but I understand what you're going through having lost my Dad in similar circumstances in 2006.

We are thinking of you, your family and your Mum, and I'm sure I can say we all hope for the best for your Mum and she turns the corner, fights the good fight and pulls through.

Positive thoughts for you.

Don't know what to say. Been there done that with Dad so I know what it is like.  I hope that there will be a celebrations of your mum's life, even though she will be sorely missed.
