thinking of buying a st1300

Hi Guys

I have a VFR750 95 Model thinking of updating to a ST1300 as its red and its a honda lol so i have just join your forum to learn more about them look forward to chatting

Welcome on in Glen - Wise decision mate, and one you wont regret. Feel free to tell us something about yourself, how long u been riding, where you live near, state etc. There are some great rides you can join onto with your VFR until you get your ST1300  :wink1

Welcome aboard Glenn,
                                      you have found the right place for information on the ST1300, if you happen to find one that interests you make sure you post up, and one of us can go and take a look if your not nearby to go and see it.

as for learning, ask any question you like, there are lots of great minds, (and a few lost minds) that will help out best we can.

Tell us about yourself, where your from, how long have you been around bikes?

Hi Glenn and welcome to OzSTOC.    While the VFR is a great sports/tourer (my sone has one),  the ST is a true dedicated touring bike but which still allow you to ride with "enthusiasm" through the twisties.

my name is Glenn Turner im almost 49 started riding bikes when i was 12 or so  i have own 13 in all  in order  DT175,IT175,XL250S,CB750F,CB1100F,XL600R,KLR650,CBR1000FK,CX500,KLX650,RM500,AFRICA TWIN 650,VFR750
i think i got that right lol
i live in Orange NSW ive been off bike for about 12 years to i  rode a guys  TDM900  that i work with and i got the bug again so i shopped around and found a VFR750 95 model in melbourne so i got the train down there on a Saturday and rode a lazy 1000 kms home on the Sunday my Girlfriend and partner in life thought i was mad BUT 11 hours later i was back in Orange that was last August so thinking of updating in the next 12 month onto a ST as i have the Honda Bug in my blood and reds my favorite colour so i cant go wrong lol
attach some photos of VFR off the ad on bikesales

You're absolutely right sticking with Honda.
One of the beauties of the STs is their big fuel tanks which you'll appreciate after 20 litres (which is still better than most sports bikes' 16 litres!)

Apart from everything else this rider/owner group trumps all the rest because of the quality (ahem) of its members and the extent of their activities.
For the modern man who lives in the city, riding a bike might be one of the only ways to escape the humdrum monotony. To take off and ride. To be both at one with nature and one with the bike. To feel masculine. Adam Piggott
