Agreed! Kids and I are on scrubbing house while Teela is working, and doing the roast dinner for when she gets home brownie points game  :thumbsup

Hey Streak, it's a shame you can't do Teela's job too. I can imagine if you did: lots of little kiddies running around terrifying their Mums & friends with faces painted like Freddie Krueger and the Joker!

Happy Mum's Day to all... I'm off to make brekkie in bed.

For the modern man who lives in the city, riding a bike might be one of the only ways to escape the humdrum monotony. To take off and ride. To be both at one with nature and one with the bike. To feel masculine. Adam Piggott

So sorry to hear that Sabie.  I had the most unfortunate experience in 1981 when my father died on
father's day at breakfast. He finished his most favourite meal, which was a full on cooked breaky, and just
closed his eyes and slid off his chair.

All the best Sabie. I am sure you treasure your memories of her......

Went up to the Sunshine Coast to see my good ol Ma. She is recovering from having 2 lbs of titanium placed where her shoulder used to be after taking a spill. She is in great spirits and always loves her "special" cheese I bring her. Good on ya Ma!

Hope you all had a great time with - or remembering - your Ma. They are certainly a special breed - and in my case - very forgiving!  lol

Cheers, Diesel

Mum had a Cerebral Haemorrhage while making the bed one morning, she was 49 and I was 18.  My older brother recently found a voice recording of her..... Back then he was a young Police Constable in Longreach and Mum used to record messages to him on cassette..  It was strange to hear her voice after so many years.

We just got back from an overnighter in Whyalla.

For Mother's day I took Heather over to see her Aunty and cousin for mother's day and one of Heather's other cousins arrived as well today.

Also with Heather's birthday tomorrow it sort of worked out ok being with some of her family. A sort of surprise birthday cake to top the afternoon off before we went over to see my daughter on the way home.

We had rain over Saturday night in Whyalla but never got any on the way home. The roads around Peterborough were wet and I guess we just missed the rain by a few minutes.
