If Ford go, the other car manufacturers won't be far behind, as the small component manufacturers will close down as their markets will be too small.

It will be a bit odd buying a Falcon now knowing it will be extinct in a few years.
You can hope there are huge sheds full of parts around the country, apart from wreckers' yards.
I think I've seen one Leyland P76 on the road in the past three years.
I know there's a difference, but it's still called extinction.
But then, we ride ST1100s and ST1300s   :grin
For the modern man who lives in the city, riding a bike might be one of the only ways to escape the humdrum monotony. To take off and ride. To be both at one with nature and one with the bike. To feel masculine. Adam Piggott

Our ever changing society.

James May and Clarkson concluded that the same will (not may) happen to the British and European car industry within 5 years. No one can remain viable with what China is doing with it's car industry.

Even though they've stolen every bit of technology they use, no one has an answer to what appears to be going to happen globally to the car industry.

In the '60's Japan stole the American dream, and South Korea taken their bite as well.

Having said that American manufacturers are starting to see light with their electric cars. So maybe there is a bit of hope.

One can only wonder where the motorbike industry will go.
