Hi All,
have owned a red 1997 st1100 for a few years but only just found this site through ARR article. it is the best bike i have owned, even traded in a BMW K1100LT to buy it. have done about 50,000kms on it bringing the total km's to 134,000km. Thanks to Streak for the welcome message.

Thanks again for all the warm welcomes. I do believe you are right RexJ, I have been reading the posts and am inspired. yesterday I fitted heated grips to my beaST ( after a 3 year wait) and have other mods planned as well.

Looks like you got the most practical farkle for your area first- the heated grips. You'll find lots more ideas here.

We have a great time there, and the back roads up to Qld from there are very nice as well.

I will indeed. Just a heads up for those coming the Texas way. The first 40 km for Ashford to Inverell is quite rough so be aware. Also there is no 95 or 98 fuel at Ashford. looking forward to meeting you all.
