Oil and filter for the ST1300
« on: May 30, 2013, 07:55:12 AM »
I've been doing the oil changes on the ST1100 with
Repco Semi-synthetic 10w 40 (Penrite oil) and Repco filter ROF135 which when purchased as a combo cost $27.49.
That's repco's everyday price when the combo is bought, otherwise the oil costs $33.99.

Is there a similar option available for the ST1300?

Brad I used a Valvoline 10W-40 Semi Syn in the 1100.....got it at mates rates so planned using in the 1300 as well, confirmed in the valvoline use guide as the correct oil. But after only 500 k's needed to be drained.

This Valvoline doesn't have friction modifiers, but I did have notable clutch slippage......gone to silkolene now and use the K&N filter from ZEN as a preferred supplier to Ozstoc.
