After initially pulling out of this RTE for medical reasons ( flu,man flu & work related shoulder problem's) i decided to take a leaf out of Tipsy's book by hardening up, putting the tiara in the tool box and just getting on with it. I'm glad i did !
I was graciously approved annual leave by my employer at short notice, had a quick read of the forum,
organised my shite in a few short days and then got myself to the meeting point on time.
Arriving at moodlu i was met by YoungSTer , Kymmy & Robjob ( another silver ST13 ! ) & shortly thereafter joined by Joseph
on his Honda CX500 "plastic maggot" ( a nickname coined by oz bike scribe's at the time ).Made me sad i sold mine actually !
A quick phone call later we met up with HarieG then headed off to the first fuel stop at Nanango .

Next stop was the Pit Stop cafe at Goomeri to catch up with Tipsy, IanB , Kiwi & Dicko.

Not far from Gayndah HarieG impressively unleashed the Gold ST11 in a very spirited fashion ( i tip's me lid - the man can still ride )
leaving me tail end charlie behind joseph. Stopping at the Midway BP,thing's went citrus/pear shaped rapidly.
HarieG had split a radiator hose and Rob & kymmy had a large bit of rubber missing.
Hat's off to Youngster for having a premonition & deciding to stop !

HarieG organised to have a friend drive up & collect his bike & head back to Brissie.
The man wearing the hat towed Rob & Kymmy's bike to Biloela where a new tyre had been sourced.

Leaving Gayndah 2 bike's short i had a very enjoyable enthuisiastic ride to the next stop at Eidesvold with Dicko in tow.
Just a great section of road to ride - very happy apart from the bike running rough.
The same " fuel supply " problem as experienced on the way back from Middleton.
I dicussed this at length with IanB who has also had the same problem , later saturday night .
Local Rider's from Bilo were there heading the other way on a weekend ride too.

From Eidesvold it was a straight run via some very average roadworks 30 minutes outside of Biloeala.
Tipsy caught up coming into town , i did a quick refuel then we arrived at the caravan park
where we were personally greeted by Pappa smurf & a torrential rain shower . Campbell Newman has alot to answer for....
Drink's were rapidly convened at chateau de Tipsy.
In this shot you will observe 2 wine glasses in hand - the hostess with the mostess !!!

A selection of wine cheese meats & good conversation was on offer around the pool table.
Pappa smurf ( Sabie ) started a new career as a check out chicky by taking care of the merchandise table.

Sunday dawned, a hearty breakfast consumed & the group shot was taken minus Robjob
who was getting his new tyre fitted.

Pappa smurf has a blue bike, naturally enough ....

I headed back not long after the group shot, stopping in Eidesvold to water the horses
followed by a quick refuel in Gayndah , a quick left turn at Goomeri then onto Gympie.

Final destination for sunday night : Caloundra.

A quick run home monday morning had me opening the garage door, backing the bike in the garage
to then have the postie van arrive before i could get off the bike. Must have been home 10 seconds !
Nice present .....
