Once upon a time...............
There was a man who had the chance to get back on an ST1100 after a break of way to many years. He managed to find a typical super reliable example and bought the said motorcycle way back in 2005.

Since that time the motorcycle and rider have been inseperable ( He sold his car and has not had one since! ).

After 8 years of faithful service and killing a 'roo on Border Run 12, the motorcycle (farkles) started to tell their owner it was time for some serious maintenance. On the second day onwards of this years Border Run, everything started to tell the owner it did not want to play any more! Music sounded terrible, cruise control would disengage randomly, C.B. suddenly sent garbled transmissions so the poor rider had to ride over 1000k home with no music or C.B. to break the boredom.
Upon finally returning home, the owner promptly fired up his computer and did a search for another ST1100 with the idea of transfering and rewiring all his farkles onto the other bike and making one really good bike from the two. Well the only good ones to be had were a little too expensive, so said rider had another barainwave: how about an ST1300!!
After another search he found a reasonbly priced 2010 model with Topbox here in Perth. The only other modification to the ST1300 was a Heli bar riser withe powerlet outlet and RamBall mount. Perfect, a blank canvas to work from!!!!
After lots of phone calls and begging for finance, I finally picked up my new toy today:

A very tidy 2010 ST1300A with only 16189 K's on Odo, with TopBox and Heli Risers now sits next to "RooKiller" under the carport.

Let the farkling begin!!
