How sad to have to retire your X-Eleven .............definitely one of Shoei's best helmets ever.
The X-Eleven was the noisiest bloody helmet I ever owned, but was never going to ditch it prematurely as it cost so much. I've now done about 50,000km with it and it's got a bit loose, so it's time was up. It was so noisy that on occasions, and despite wearing ear plugs, I stuck gaffer tape over the vents and joints just to shut it up.
Thanks to info from BigTed and a call from ST2UP I've got the Starcom Headset installed in the TZ-X. I finished up pushing the wires into the area between the shell and polystyrene foam chin bar with a plastic spatula. I'll keep an eye on it and if it looks like coming loose a bit of hot glue may be in order.
