My how things have changed, I found this photo of myself from the 2006 Southern Cross Poker run (Clermont to Townsville via MT Isa), this was the only brand new bike I have ever owned a 2005 Yamaha FZ1

Oh yes I travel quite differently now! It does look the cord is holding the exhaust up, I never looked at it like that
