Thanks Pockey.

We're spending time with my great old Dad, who is quite unwell, on what is most likely his last Father's Day.   He flew bombers in WWII, spent time as a POW, married a saint, was a much loved school teacher all his life, and has travelled absolutely everywhere in Oz with Mum (now gone) in their old Kingswood towing a little old caravan.  The family joke is to go somewhere that they never visited, and I have only succeeded once.

We will also be celebrating with our son-in-law and daughter for his first father's day, and our son with his second father's day.   A special day for family, fellowship, food and wine.

Make sure you hug your kids or chat with them today - Just spent 5 hrs driving a Rescue fire truck and there will be a family mourning the loss of a young man today instead of celebrating Fathers Day  :fp

We just had brunch in the same fashion on this gorgeous spring morning with a massive BBQ.

ST2UP is spending some off his Daddy's day with his other child and putting on new brakes before Inverell.

Dinner with daughter and hubby and two top grandkids last night.
Other daughter nearing end of 10 week Fourby camping holiday anti-clockwise lap of Oz with hubby and three grandies.
Very special day for us today with only son coming to lunch bringing his wife and three week old first-born.

That's all very good, but the anomaly is I'm waaaaay too young to have six grandkids.    >:()
For the modern man who lives in the city, riding a bike might be one of the only ways to escape the humdrum monotony. To take off and ride. To be both at one with nature and one with the bike. To feel masculine. Adam Piggott

Well my day was spent catching up on sleep, phone call from my daughter, text from my son, mowing lawns, took PitSTop for a ride on the ST and then got called into the fire station for an incident debrief. Its beer o'clock now and pork chops for dinner soon

Cheers

Nice words Pockey. Thanku.
Daughter Danika made mixed grill 4 brekkie while son Andrew helped where he could after a big night at a wedding reception.
Our plan 4 the day was to check out Cordeaux Dam (CD) on way to Picton to check out King George Hotel (KGH) and then to Thirlmere 2 get some of those gr8 pies and then to go just north of Picton to the Common Grounds Cafe (CGC) that is occupying a heritage hotel.
CGC would b ideal for an RTE one day.
Here's some pix of Cordeaux Dam which is on Picton Rd about 1/2 way between Picton and Wollongong.

They left me behind on a glorious warm day - I couldn't believe it

I am still very upset

... and angry
