Washing Motorcycle Jackets

After arriving home from Inverell my Wife Robyn asked me to to take my clothes off. I thought
No she just wanted to wash them  . And she said go have a shower ( A cold shower)
Anyway she said what about your DRIRIDER jacket. I said I have not washed it in 6 years that I have owned it

"What does everone else do Wash or Not" . There is washing instructions sown in ??????????

Put mine through the machine. Just have to remove the armour first. They get pretty smelly and the road grime gets bad too.

I've had my jacket for about 12 years, maybe longer. I only ever wipe it over with a damp cloth and leave it out to air. A couple of times I have used a scrubbing brush and water to get the bugs off.

Armour comes out easy enough from the dri-rider and put it in the washing machine

I've never worried about it, I never seem to get any bugs on my jackets when riding, I hang them up in an enclosed cupboard in my shed and I have camphor hanging in there to make sure there are no creepies crawling in to them, so when I put them on they have a slight smell of camphor which disappears within a couple of minutes. Also keep my boots, helmets, etc in there as well. Every now and then I'll spray the inside of the cupboard with surface spray because we can get some ugly little black spiders at times and they seem to have an affinity with anything black.   No problems so far.
