Back home from Brisbane on Melbourne Cup day after 4496 k's in 6 days of actual riding.
What a good turn up at Metung and a lovely day for a ride. I am glad I stopped that night at Bombala, not Cooma that night. The dead kangaroos littering the road between Bombala and Cooma was an eye opener.
Even the next morning live ones were still hopping across the road.
On the way up I was warned off the Putty road due to the bushfires and the bottom end of Thunderbolts way was actually closed due to fires.
No probs on the way home though, both were open. I thought Thunderbolts way a little bland though.
