GenX and GenY love advertising for people that sell them brand name items at an inflated price, the higher the price the more they'll run around wearing advertisements. Harley has made squillions of dollars from people who haven't ever ridden a bike in their life.

I don't see why anyone would advertise for a company if you have to pay for the product. I always make sure that I remove any stickers that people put on my car (muffler shop or car service centre) and I make sure I remove those number plate surrounds that advertise bike shops or car yards, not one has ever given me a car or bike for free so why should I advertise for them. If businesses want me to advertise for them they can pay me to carry their sticker or other advertising paraphenalia.

Good man.  I do the same for the very same reasons.  From what I see though, plenty of people are happy to be free mobile advertisements.
For the modern man who lives in the city, riding a bike might be one of the only ways to escape the humdrum monotony. To take off and ride. To be both at one with nature and one with the bike. To feel masculine. Adam Piggott

My daughter proudly advertises for the manufacturer of her hockey equipment, but then, we did get a 35% discount (approx $1000) on the gear due to her sponsorship deal, definitely worth signing the agreement that she'll only wear their advertising..... :thumbsup

That's the way it should be.  The sponsor pays for the privilege of having their product or service advertised and the medium (shirt wearer) is rewarded by benefiting from the sponsorship money (cheaper sporting goods in this case).  Win - win.
