The TT has got to be one of the most spectacular and dangerous motorcycle races ever staged.  Those riders are truly amazing, and I think what makes it appear so spectacular is that the bikes look like bikes we all could own for around $20k, and the roads look like roads that we all ride on, and not like a super-safe racetrack.
