Foxy's on the move

My riding buddy "Foxy" has been riding a Yamaha V-Star 1300 for the past few years, but having owned a black Honda ST1100 for numerous years previously, he's finally come to the conclusion that it's time to get back with the strength, so tomorrow we're heading in to Hobart to have a look at a red ST 1300 that's for sale. He's so dead set serious that he's taking the cash with him with the intention of riding it home if all checks out.

Needless to say I'm heading in there with him and I can't wait to check it out!  All going well we'll have another Tassie member coming up

I hate to admit to you being right Biggles, but mate, you are!!.................and the red bike looks fantastic!

We brought the bike home today, at least Foxy rode it home. While we were checking it out the sun was shining, two minutes later it started to rain, one minute later it started to lightly snow (would you believe), then a minute later we had sleet (frozen rain) similar to rain but much smaller, then two minutes later again the sun was shining, but Foxy was smiling cause he was about to ride the bike home. The deal's all done and the bike now lives at Foxy's at Nubeena. The bike seems to be in excellent condition, it's a 2002 model with 63,000kls on the clock and fitted with a Hondaline topbox, new Michelin tyres and new battery, with hardly a mark on the bike, and how much???   $7500 would you believe!! If I didn't already have one I'd have brought it myself. First ride home 120kls and he already loves it.  So now he has a Yamaha XVS 1300 for sale if anyone should be remotely interested!!
I'll be posting a pic of the bike and Foxy (and Mrs Foxy) real soon, as well as joining him up with OzSToc!! He doesn't have a computer yet but I'll see if I can change that for him.

Thats great.  So between Phil (work colleague) and Foxy our numbers grow.  Looking good for a decent RTE at some stage.

Absolutly mate, hope we can organize something soon. We might be riding up to Campbelltown to meet up with our mate Phil who's returning from the mainland, next Sunday, (we think) not sure yet because his departure date may change. Anyway if we do we'll head out through Campania, Colebrook, then up to Campbell town on the Highway, and return over the Lake Leake Road, Swansea, etc. etc. back to Sorell then the Peninsula. Not sure if you or Sim can make it but I'll let you know more as info comes to hand.

Great to see Foxy has an "all weather" kind of bike.  He'll need it. 

Last October I had lunch in Scottsdale in fine warm weather, rode about 50 kays in fine weather, rode through hail covering the road about a centimetre deep and into bright warm sunshine down into St Helens.




Good luck finding a sucker buyer for the Yamaha XVS 1300!
