The naysayers and the revenue raisers will knock it

, but having lived in the bush for twelve years, my opinion ( yes I know we all have them and they are said to be like A--oles and everyone has one and no one wants to hear it!

) but the fact is that the tyranny of distance and unrealistic speed limits are large contributors to many country accidents.
The dreaded micro sleep kills and it so easy for the statistics to be given one more for the-- cause of accident--excess speed. When it was boredom and nodding off that was the real problem.
So today we ride/drive bikes and cars with far far superior handling braking, lighting and performance and we are more restricted than when I drove my first car a 1934 Chevrolet! That is not a typo.Even then we had areas where there were derestricted signs.
Go figure.
