ST rider down in Tassie, anyone we know?
« on: November 10, 2013, 05:17:25 PM »
I was just sent this link by a friend in Tassie, ST1300 rider killed in a collision with a 4wd today.  I don't know if it's anyone we know.  Thoughts are with his family no matter what....

It doesn't look like an ST.

But thoughts go out to the family regardless

Saw the news on tele but don't know more than that!

It's sad to hear of any rider down. >:() There are far too many people killed on our roads, and every death affects so many, in so many ways. I lost a beautiful 16 year old daughter in a head-on accident at Beerwah, Queensland, in February 1981, and I know only too well what it does to a family. :'(

A 70 year old involved. A 57 year old and a 67 year old killed on the Snowy Ride last weekend. Us old folks are having a hard time of late. Condolences to the family. a tough time for everyone concerned.

oops, forgot the motorcyclist was that killed on Macquarie Pass.

You're doing well Marcus, I couldn't afford a great bike like an ST1300 at your age, I had to wait until I was an old, oops.....slightly older, fart! :grin

Now there's an idea for a forum question? When is it time to give it away?

Everyone is different, I know people much younger than myself who shouldn't be driving a motor vehicle, in fact you see them all the time.
I think most people who ride a motor cycle will know when it's time to call it a day! I don't see myself giving it away for a long time yet, but then, I'm only 73! :grin
