Unfortunately we had another Tasmanian rider killed yesterday,

this time on the famed Lake Leake road. I'm led to believe that he was riding with a group when he shot past them all and disappeared in the distance, the next time the others saw him he'd collided with a stationary pole on a straight section of the road, and he was thrown 35 metres from his bike, that's a huge distance and perhaps gives an indication that he may have been travelling too fast. The Lake Leake road is not a dangerous ride provided you don't go like a bull out of a gate. It's sad to learn that another rider's lost their life on Tassie soil, but the lesson here is , ride at a safe speed for the conditions of the road, and always remember that there are those at home that need you to return safely!
