Looking for a seat
« on: December 31, 2013, 03:35:55 PM »
MYST came with a nice comfy Corbin, but I'd like to get hold of an OEM seat set. Medium term plan to get the front customised and have something else put in the place of the pillion seat :whistle.

MYST is an 09 ST1300. If you have one you'd like to sell PM me.

Yep, well sort of.  I managed to get hold of a front seat in great condition, Had to buy a new rear seat. Which is pretty funny given I will be looking at getting the front customised and only need the rear as a placeholder while I consider auxilliary fuel options.

I will be riding with the stock seat to the upcoming FarRide to see what I need to do, meanwhile the very nice Corbin is sitting on a shelf gathering dust.

G'day Wombattle,
Is there a chance I could sit on your Corbin seat I am thinking of buying one for myself but would like to try before I buy. You are in Newy somewhere and I am up the Valley.

I am told the Corbin seats are slight lower than standard which I am hoping will enable me to get a better purchase on terrafirma.

I love my st but my stumpy legged frame really finds low speed manoeuvring challenging.
Thanks
Todd

Sure Todd,

You are more than welcome to  borrow it and take it for a test run on your bike. I'll PM you my phone number and address and we can work out a time.

Hi Wombattle,
I've arranged to check out TJ's aux tank on his ST1300 at Nambucca Heads.
We need to catch him soon after lunch as he is not staying the night.

Ok no worries, Chris was considering if we would sell our seats.

We have the Russell day-long seats from America if you wish to have a sit at Nambucca, expensive but WOW  :runyay

See you there  :wink1
