Safety cones
« on: January 08, 2014, 03:02:13 PM »
If anyone is interested.. you may have your reasons!!  :whistle

Aldi has safety cones in packs of 12 for $6.95 (?).
These are the bright orange, lower profile cones and may be handy for someone (or groups) to practice their riding skills or in the lead up to something like a Q-ride course..
Just sayin'.. (and they're cheap enough, and soft enough to run over).

Good price, damn shame we don't have Aldi here, I paid a lot more for a set for my kids hockey training

Used tennis balls cut in half make a good substitute.

I acknowledge hardworking Australians no matter who they are or where they come from. All those who have contributed to this wonderful country deserve an equal share of gratitude for their contributions. To single any group of individuals out for special homage only denigrates the rest of us.

Aldi markets them to be used in sport and it only occurred to me after posting it that you might sell them.. :-)

I picked up some of those cones from Aldi's and they are an ideal size for a pannier
. Aldi's also had some other small plastic pieces ( I don't know what they called them) but they have an angled surface around them. If anyone has them and you are using them say in place of cones or tennis balls cut in half.
Just be aware that if you hit a cone or a tennis ball, no sweat.
But strike one of these little suckers with some lean on the bike and the bitumen is probably going to be the next thing you touch. Just saying.
You will find if you go to www.RideLikeAPro.com run by Jerry Palladino in the USA he mentions these little suckers.
Hope it might save someone from a spill.
