Bike prices

Hello all,

I am curious about the prices of bikes.  I have been looking for about three months now. It seems to me that about 95% of bikes advertised then, are still on the market.  Is it because people just aren't buying bikes or are the asking prices too much.  This is not brand specific, it seems to be across all brands and models.

Having said that, I have bought and sold 2 bikes in the past 5 years.  Both bought and sold for a fair price. Just interested in others opinions.

Some of the bikes are going for near new bike prices (when they bought them), but some have recently bought brand new bikes for around $10,000 . Who is going to buy a 2008 1300 for $14000, even with low Ks and a few farkles...

It seems no one is at present.

Brock, I don't think anyone could have brought a brand new ST1300 for $10,000, and if they have, they must have fallen off the back of a truck I'd be keen to learn more if you know of anyone who has!!
