Not only has it not been washed, but the right tip over bar cover is missing, the fender extender seems to be growing crystals....

Oh, and I think I saw a girl trying to sit on it.. o:)

No.. tip-over bar cover not missing.. it's at home! :D

I told her that it might be better if I wash the bike first, but she was happy to use it as it was. I think she was right, now after seeing the photos.
I should have put the tip-over bar cover back on.. the bar still has my make-shift camera mount cable-tied to it.. meant to take that off before my trip.

Great photos mate, and with the bike being a little bit dirty it looks like a bike that's ridden not just a show piece :thumbs

Sad to say that the lady modeling in the photo had an intruder in her house last Sunday night. I was at her house helping with some computer issues and I left around 7pm. She spent a short time removing washing off the line and then took her daughter to the local shops to buy a small amount of groceries. After she returned home and parked her car in the yard she went to the back door of her house (it's a sectioned off area at ground level and includes a laundry area. As soon as she entered theis area she noticed a section of fibro had been broken away from a side wall and heard a noise in the house. She immediately exited the house area and dialed 000. The intruder had heard her (or her 5 year old daughter) and left via the front bedroom window.. fortunately, he had entered through the back door and went straight to the front of the house and had only opened the drawers of one of the bedside tables before jumping out the bedroom window.

This poor young lady who lives in the house with her 5 yo daughter is now scared to leave her house and being there at night. I have spent time since repairing and reinforcing the area where the intruder broke in. My friend had made a mistake on the night by locking the door to the laundry area but leaving the houses back door open, believing that it was safe. She now knows to lock the rear door and I have reinforced the latch area on the wall/doorway. I have also gone through and around the property with her to look at the areas that need to be improved (at least to make her feel more secure and safer).. it will be a work in process due to the very limited funds that she has.

Just goes to show that one selfish inconsiderate %$^&* can enter a home, not actually get to take anything but to make someones life miserable for a long time to come.

Hopefully, the Plod got some evidence they can use, and the scrote got a big enough fright to not try again.  Maybe need a vicious bike gang to hang there for a while..

Hopefully they will be caught in the near future. She is going a bit stir crazy about 'who' may have done it and has been sensitive to the way people have looked at her, the sounds and lights of cars at night, etc. I have told her not to care about the individuals because even if they get caught there will be another who will be on the lookout for easy targets. Our aim is not to make it easy for them but to make it harder!
On the night of the 'intrusion' I took her and her daughter to my home. The Police finger print man came later that day but only found marks left by gloves.
I have spent the week fixing locks, improving locking methods on doors and windows, and reinforcing the lock catch for the rear door lock (we were surprised at how many latches were seized, broken, or virtually non-existent). She had another older friend donate a monitored alarm system to her (being fitted very soon). I have talked with her about different things that she could do to improve security (putting her car in the shed so that 'they' have a harder time telling when she is out, keeping her driveway gate closed as much as possible especially at night, etc). We are also in the process of fitting signs (No trespassing, Beware of the dog, Alarm system, etc). The aim of these is is the hope that the potential intruder may have second thoughts about not just entering the home but entering the property. Every little bit helps. The monitored alarm system was to be the expensive 'when she could afford it' final option, so she will feel much more secure once that is fitted and running.
