Tyre prices Canberra

Now I realise that there is an awesome deal going for tyre's at Ballarat.

But sent the missus on a hunt for prices and you can't overlook Joe's Motorcycles in Canberra.

The bloke spent more than half an hour explaining things to her and wrote down all the prices of tyre's that would suit my bike and riding style.

I called in to ask just 1 more question today and was told point blank, that all prices quoted include fitting ON or OFF the bike.
Ride in and fitment while you wait, or drop in the rim. No need to book in either.

Thats good prices.... What's your thought's on other locations if you have the info.

And don't under estimate the female mind, she even picked the same tyre i'm using now correctly to the bloke because, and I quote " That's the one he has now, I didn't check but it has the same tread pattern."

must've been that time she was laying on the road after the bike fell over whilst she was still on it.

She did wait patiently for me to pick her up, and never swore at me either ( the missus that is, i'm sure I heard the bike swear but).

That is not bad at all, as places like CMC charge heaps for on bike fitting.

Personally I would go for either a 160/70 rear, or if that is not available the 170/60 rear in the ST13 size.  The 160/60 rear may suit two up with a trailer as it would pull a few more revs at the same road speed as a 160/70  or 170/60.  The PR2 and PR3, as well as the BT023 seem to get good mileage. The Angel wears a bit quicker than both of those (at least in the 190/55 rear I have been using), so only expect 10,000kms or so compared to 15,000kms out of the PR2 or PR3.

All those sizes do show the belts underneath quite nicely once worn too much, so you are safe with that

Im currently running the Dunlop and both my boots tend to drag the toe on the bitumen every now and then so I will replace with same.

I tried the original Dunlop Roadsmart years ago. A good predictable tyre, got decent mileage.  I got stuck out in the big hailstorms a few years ago while riding back in from Yass.  The Roadsmart rear was the least of my problems, but it handled the conditions very well.
