Ride to Phillip Island Superbikes with 4 work Mates
Bill Yamaha 1300 V Star, Pete Yamaha FJR1300, Sam Yamaha 1100 V Star & George Triumph Adventure and Myself on my Honda ST1300 headed to Phillip Island

Monday 17th February
I headed off from Toowoomba with 4 work mates to Phillip Island SuperBikes
A bit of an uneventful day, stopped for coffee at Tenterfield, then onto Guyra for lunch before riding to Tamworth for the first night
Tuesday 18th.
We headed down to Scone then cut across to Bylong and down to Rylstone for one of the best burger’s I have ever had, then through Sofala to Bathurst where we rode around the race track and visited the Museum, then onto Cowra for the night

Wednesday 19th. We rode down to Yass for Coffee then into Canberra “My first time in Canberra” but we didn’t stay long as rain was threatening and on to Cooma where we stayed at the Alpine Hotel which has undercover parking for bikes. Less than an hour after arriving it bucked down with rain. A few other riders staying said they struck a lot of rain coming through Canberra
Thursday 20th.
Headed down through Bombala to Cann River. Stopping to look at the staircase in the Hotel from the Ship ‘SS Riverina’ which was salvaged in 1927. Then headed for Lakes Entrance for the night. I chatted to a ST1100 rider from Grenfell ‘CARD GIVEN’

Friday 21st.
We headed to Sale for coffee then down to Leongatha where we split up 2 went to Pakenham 2 went to camp at the track at Phillip Island and I went and stayed with my Nephew at Corinella on a horse stud
Saturday 22nd. My Nephew took me to the horse racing at Caufield to watch a horse run in the Blue Diamond that he had broken in 10th.
Sunday 23rd.
Went down to Bike Races at Phillip Island. I’m not into bike racing but just great to say I have been there. Great track and scenery. I enjoyed the walk around the outside of track to different advantage points and views. Still don’t know who won the Main Race


Monday 24th.
After finding all the bit of my glasses which fell apart. I had to wait till daylight so I could wear my prescription sunnies. I Headed up to Pakenham where we all met up. Then rode up to Marysville for coffee and great pie then up to Wodonga where I got my glasses fixed. Then up to Cootamundra for the night.
Tuesday 25th.
We headed up to Young for breakfast. Through Cowra Molong Wellington then Coolah for Lunch. Then made a dash for Werris Creek Where we purchased a Brick in memory of a fallen work/ride mate at the Railway Museum. Then onto Tamworth where we did the Chinese Smorgasbord at the Services Club to celebrate our last night on the road.
Wednesday 26th.
We headed out to Moonbi for breakfast, then made a dash for Toowoomba to see my Daughter Shelly who was down on holidays from Townsville. I still had 4 days with her before she went back
