Honda Does It Again
« on: March 27, 2014, 05:02:24 PM »
For the modern man who lives in the city, riding a bike might be one of the only ways to escape the humdrum monotony. To take off and ride. To be both at one with nature and one with the bike. To feel masculine. Adam Piggott

It just looks wrong.....

In their description, they actually call the design concept "the Front Massive Styling", so it's a look they're developing across the range, as also evident in the CTX-13.
Plenty of room in there for a Stebel Nautilus, anyway, unlike the ST11 where it was a real struggle finding a location.

This is not in the Jet Jackson moon rocket fantasy category.

Quoting the Honda release again: "Honda held its press conference at the 30th Osaka Motorcycle Show 2014 today and unveiled the world premiere of two types of its new production model "NM4" as an exhibition model (planned for production)."

I rather like the sound of "cockpit" when talking about the rider's environment- lots of information and buttons and thingies.   :thumbs

Out of that lot, the Suzuki G-Strider gets my vote.  Not interested in the rest as they all have that "Boy-Racer" look and position.  I'm a tourer.

Looks more like bikes you see in scifi films.  Sort of like a bagger/power cruiser/scooter hybrid.

I acknowledge hardworking Australians no matter who they are or where they come from. All those who have contributed to this wonderful country deserve an equal share of gratitude for their contributions. To single any group of individuals out for special homage only denigrates the rest of us.

Damn.  If it didn't look wrong before, it sure does now.  Maybe fold-out wings next?

"Butt Ugly"  springs to mind.     Motorcyclists want to ride a motorcycle that looks like a motorcycle, and not like something out of Star Wars.
If I want a cruiser, I'll buy a cruiser.  If I want a sports bike, I'll buy a sports bike.   If I want a tourer, I'll buy a tourer.  If I want a scooter, I'll buy a scooter.
If I want a SciFi bike, I'll go to ToyWorld.
