:||||   Begs the question what Honda Australia are thinking. Or in their case, not thinking.   :fp

I acknowledge hardworking Australians no matter who they are or where they come from. All those who have contributed to this wonderful country deserve an equal share of gratitude for their contributions. To single any group of individuals out for special homage only denigrates the rest of us.

Yep- that URL leads to the Goldwings.  If you go to the Sports Tourer page you get the VFR1200.

"The distinctive VFR1200F now offers even greater performance, with significantly more refined torque from the V4 PGM-FI fuel injection system, combined with increased tank capacity, meaning the VFR1200F can now travel more than 186 miles on a single tank of petrol. The adoption of Honda's Traction Control System helps ensure the power is put down optimally, safely and securely, even on surfaces with limited grip."

Imagine that!  Increased tank size can go 300 km!!!
For the modern man who lives in the city, riding a bike might be one of the only ways to escape the humdrum monotony. To take off and ride. To be both at one with nature and one with the bike. To feel masculine. Adam Piggott

Honda Australia may have decided not to get an Australian run of them, due to our differing rules.  It will be interesting to see what the real world pricing is over there, as at a realistic price I think they are still a great buy new, allowing for putting on more modern features if needed.

That translates to A$25,900.  A hard ask against the GTR14 and FJR13 which have all sorts of updates.  And a hard sell if the last model went for $16000 ride away.

I noticed that the US site advertises the "P" model in white or B&W

At last!! Trust in advertising:

"The sport-touring motorcyclist is a unique animal, one part long-distance hauler, one part canyon-carving ace. Comfort and performance have to be perfectly balanced in their machine, and that’s why there’s really only been one choice: the Honda ST1300. Gold Wing-inspired luxury and CBR-derived performance have been impeccably fused, with wind-tunnel-honed bodywork and hard saddlebags complementing a powerful V-4 engine, shaft drive, a race-bred chassis, and optional ABS. The result? A bike that’s equally at home swallowing up miles of blacktop as it is dicing through the twistiest of alpine passes. And all without ever breaking a sweat."

US$18,230 is much better than the UK price.  If we've gotta import one, that's the source.
