Folks, a shoutout to all of you. The niece of a very good friend of mine (Nonkel Luc) is 7 years old and has leukemia. Part of her therapy is collecting postcards from all over the world.

So could you kindly send her a postcard at this address.
Sara de Jonge
Doornstraat 103

Belgium

Do it now, not tomorrow. And please spread the word. Thank you. xxx

While the sentiment is great, there have been many examples of this type of thing being a hoax. ( there are a couple of repeats of this on other sites) Sometimes, the cards have been going to an address for years where  the recipient has never been a resident.

If possible, can the source of this be verified, as it would be terrible to be associated with an ongoing hoax.

Good evening Brock,

Alan reposted this from a post I made on my-mc-phoenix (and facebook, twitter, and some more).
While I understand your concern, I can vouch that sadly this is genuine.
Sara is the niece of a good friend of mine in Belgium.

I do appreciate Alan's and your understanding and assistance in spreading the word.
Thank you,

Pieter

thanks for that Pieter,

I have seen these before, often reposted and reposted, so I was a bit sceptical. I guess its the old friend of a friend thing, where nobody actually knew of the story first hand. This isnt something that should happen to a kid.

I will now have to go and get a card.. :thumb :thumb

Here is an idea, Those with the skills and computer gear should make their own custom OzSTOC cards..

Thanks guys and girls.

I just checked with Luc how Sara is doing and what her outlook is.
His answer: She's still in the middle of chemo and nobody knows the outcome.

(However they have put in an order for a second mailbox...  :thumbs)
Sit back, relax, and enjoy the ride.
