I've just been sent a link to this discussion Paper and it is worth reading.

This discussion paper considers three initiatives:
1. Lane filtering
2. Motorcycle control
3. Motorcycle helmets

Helments is about the possibility of accepting European, Japanese and American Standards)

Queenslanders are invited to review the discussion paper and complete the online survey to show whether they support or do not support each of the proposals. They are also able to provide extra comments or skip questions they do not wish to answer. No demographic information will be collected from the people who complete the survey.

I susggest we all have our say, even if you are interstate.  The more feedback the better.

Admins:  Can we make this a Sticky and if neccessary move it to the appropriate section.
Hmmm. Maybe we could have a section specifically for State road laws, as a resource to easily find the links to road laws in each State.

Has anyone seen anything else regarding this.  I sent an email off to the Minister for Tpt Qld requesting an update but had no response

I believe NSW are intending to do a review of their lane filtering changes at the end of six months. QLD is waiting for the NSW's report before they discuss it further.
